Fabric
Qayak inflatable kayaks use 1,000 and 1,200 denier fabric, which has been specially coated on both sides with PVC. The fabric is completely airtight in water and highly resistant to abrasions, fuel and harmful sunlight.
Hypalon® fabric
Qayak inflatable kayaks
use not only PVC, but also Hypalon® coated fabric made from four sheets ensuring a perfect watertight seal and rubber of the highest cohesive ability.
Hypalon® has demonstrated long life in harsh environments. Hypalon® is used in applications that require high performance, and shows its true strength when exposed to high temperatures and oxidizing chemicals. It resists flex cracking and abrasion as well as the damaging effects of weather, UV/ozone, heat and chemicals. Hypalon® has demonstrated long life in harsh environments.
Adhesive structure
Qayak inflatable kayak seams are fully overlapped and reinforced on both the inside and outside for added protection. The inner tubes stay airtight while protecting the tube from sudden impacts. To maximize bonding and adhesion, Qayak uses polyurethane based glue. Polyurethane glue offers the highest durability and protection to heat and salt water.
